[For years now, Athrun has been working on a project in his garage in his spare time. He had bought a classic car, and took it upon himself to restore it. He wanted to do as much of the work as possible on his own, taking to the internet or to the local mechanics whenever he needed to know something that he didn't already know.
Today, after work, he makes a stop at Weiss's apartment. When she answers him, he asks her to come with him to the street, because he has something that he would like her to see. And there, parked along the curb, is a pristine-looking 1953 Corvette. It looks like it only just rolled off the lot -- if the lot hadn't been in the fall of 1952. It even has white wall tires!]
I just finished last night, and drove it to work this morning. What do you think?
[It's early June, two months after Shirou and Rin graduated from high school. They were set to move to London to begin attending classes at Clock Tower, but the next semester didn't start until the beginning of September, leaving them with plenty of time to kill. Fortunately, as a graduation present, Taiga's grandfather had given Shirou two tickets for a cruise in the South Pacific.
After getting their passports in order and packing, Shirou and Rin board the cruise ship in Tokyo, which would set sail for Guam in an hour. They blend into the crowd of fellow passengers, which seems to be a mixture of nationalities, as they board the ship, and make their way to their room at the stern. Shirou ends up leading the way into what turns out to be a suite, but he stops when he gets a good look inside.
There's only one (queen-size) bed. The bathroom sink is red, and in the shape of a heart.
Old Man Raiga had booked them into the honeymoon suite.]
[That's been a long project, certainly one of those things that someone may think will it ever even be ready or some may be more negative about it... Weiss is in neither of those categories; projects are good and there's no rush with them and so on.
Weiss is about to welcome him in but then Athrun wants to show her something. She obviously has no idea what it could be, not in a million years would she make the correct guess unless she'd be joking about it... So since surprise is clearly his thing here, that works really well!!
The Ice Queen's eyes look impressed, amazed even. It's a really pretty car and white and red just happen to be her colors too. Coincidence? Who knows... Well, maybe Athrun knows but Weiss is not going to ask about it nor even mention it. And she's going back to her cool and calm style again like this is nothing. Hard to impress!!]
Well, looks can be deceiving and it's a bit too early for me to tell. But you could take me for a ride and we'll see what I think after that.
[ ... So what she really means is that Athrun should spend more time with her right now with that ride or otherwise. Why can't she be nice and just say that is a mystery.]

[Ruby had been fairly insistent on a movie night for the two of them. It had been quite awhile since they had come across a town. It seemed like the perfect excuse to get away from the rest of the group for a little while, just the two of them.
Well the two of them and a fairly long line up to the cashier at the front. On the bright side it gave them some time to go over their options.]
So are you feeling more in an actiony kind of mood? Or something funny? Dramatic? Scary? Lovey dovey?
[She have been a bit obvious listing the options in her own order of preference.]
[Movie night in general doesn't sound so bad. Somehow Weiss' first idea of that is everyone watching together which sounds nice -- horrible for how would they choose a movie but otherwise possibly nice.
Then this turns out to be going out to see a movie with Ruby and she is insistent while Weiss is... Interested without showing it at all. Besides somehow she thinks that choosing a movie for just the two of them go watch would be even more difficult than something random for the whole group. On the other hand she gets more time with Ruby and that's such a refreshing feeling after everything.
Oh, it's obvious why that list is in that order, not that Weiss is going to tell her how easy that is to notice... But she is giving Ruby a look of curious disbelief.]
You'd rather watch a horror movie than anything lovey dovey? Sure they both sound bad in their own way but... [Says the girl who is unsure which one of them is worse. Not that Weiss wants to see either of those options right now, especially nowhere with strangers all around them!] Let's go see some great action one.

( He's been yelled at, chastised, caffeinated, and even strongarmed into a shower and change of clothes. But now? He's been coaxed into bed, having not slept a wink for the past two days.
Oh, it would certainly be opportune to take the time to rest. It's not as if he didn't need it, but in this moment, he couldn't. He'd barely done anything to actually address Weiss's concerns, and although he was still reluctant to speak on the matter, his hands circle around her waist in confirmation that they hadn't fallen on deaf ears. He didn't want to be too presumptuous on his own, but even so, he's murmuring against her skin, left uncovered by her nightgown: )
[Despite Weiss's exterior, Athrun's smile never falters. He knows Weiss well enough to know that he can't judge what she's thinking by how she's acting externally. And yes, Athrun does know the answer to Weiss's unasked question about the matching color schemes. He just can't answer it until she asks it.]
Well, of course. I wouldn't have driven it here if I hadn't intended to take you for a ride in it. Are you ready to go now?
